The time in which we mark the 75th anniversary of the UN is a time of growing global challenges, the solutions to which will require joint action based on multilateral cooperation between states. That is why the issue of reaffirmation and strengthening of multilateralism is at the very center of the debates among officials, in the academic community and the conversation among people around the world initiated by the UN about the future we want. This fits with the original purpose of the organization, the preservation of peace and international security. This is the backbone of the creation and work of the UN for the past 75 years, and has proven to be an indispensable condition for sustainable development, respect for human rights and overall progress in the world.
The future belongs to the youth who have the right to live in peace, dignity and equality on a healthy planet. For a better present and a secure future, cooperation between states and peoples is necessary, for which the United Nations has been the best framework for the past 75 years. Therefore, we are pleased to support the holding of this gathering “Multilateralism & International Security”, with congratulations to the distinguished organizers for recognizing the importance of the UN’s 75th anniversary.
